Go for: consistently good food in a family friendly setting that will be sure to put a smile on your face

Happy Italian Pizzeria is an authentic, family owned pizza restaurant. They use the freshest ingredients to create their dishes.

If you are looking for fine dining, this is not your place. But if you are looking for a really good home cooked meal made with love, this is the casual dining, family friendly restaurant you never knew you were missing. At Happy Italian, the scents of garlic, onion and tomato sauce will have your mouth watering before you even make it to your seat.

As you walk in, a waitress will seat you either in the Front Room or the back, larger Banquet Room. The quaint Front Room overlooks the kitchen and although it gets a little warm from the ovens, it is the best spot to watch the shenanigans going on in the kitchen. The people watching is good too. The Banquet Room is for larger parties or private events but when the tables fill up in front, you are directed to this room.

The wine menu is creative and quite delicious. I enjoy a good chianti whilst dining Italian but they have a little bit of everything. The food portions are large so you may want to share so you can try a few different things.

Some of the normal Italian choices are lasagna, fettuccine alfredo (add chicken or shrimp), veal parmesan, calzones and of course pizza! They have seafood dishes and daily specials too. If you do not see anything on the menu that you like, ask the chef to prepare something you can eat. He does not disappoint. Save room for the homemade desserts – huge Carrot Cake slices, cannelloni, and a silky peanut butter pie (if you’re lucky). Often times they have Italian sesame seed cookies, too — but once they are gone, … they are gone.

After you receive your order, the chef comes out to ask you how everything was. I love this personal touch.

There is no dress code and kids are more than welcome.  They do take-out and delivery food orders too. Prices are very reasonable. – Christine Sory
